Meta Unveils Muse Spark 1.1: A New Agentic Powerhouse for Coding and Computer Use

Meta Superintelligence Labs launches Muse Spark 1.1, a multimodal model enhancing agentic tool use, computer control, and coding via the new Meta Model API.

Meta Unveils Muse Spark 1.1: A New Agentic Powerhouse for Coding and Computer Use

Meta Superintelligence Labs recently announced that Meta Unveils Muse Spark 1.1: A New Agentic Powerhouse for Coding and Computer Use. This multimodal reasoning model features major upgrades in tool use and coding capabilities.

Furthermore, developers can now access it through a public preview of the Meta Model API. The model also supports “Thinking” mode within the Meta AI app.

This release advances the company’s vision of personal superintelligence. Therefore, users gain AI that plans and acts across daily digital tasks.

Orchestrating Complex Agentic Workflows

Muse Spark 1.1 handles multi-step projects much faster than previous versions. Instead of linear processing, it orchestrates multi-agent systems intelligently.

First, the main agent gathers context and delegates execution to parallel subagents. Then, subagents focus on specific tasks using available tools.

Additionally, the model generalizes to new native tools without retraining. It actively manages a one million token context window to preserve critical steps.

Enhanced Computer Use Capabilities

The model shows notable gains in computer-use tasks spanning multiple applications. It maintains context effectively even when information changes mid-task.

Rather than clicking sequentially, it automates processes by writing scripts when appropriate. However, it switches to direct UI interaction when that is simpler.

For example, it organized a dinner party order and adjusted plans automatically. Consequently, it navigates unfamiliar software interfaces with minimal user intervention.

Coding Performance on Enterprise Codebases

Coding performance improved substantially for large, complex enterprise codebases. Muse Spark 1.1 diagnoses bugs and executes large-scale code migrations reliably.

It handles multi-turn dynamics like planning mode and subagent delegation smoothly. In one demo, it built a chat app and fixed visible bugs autonomously.

Moreover, researchers now use this model to automate their own development pipelines. Thus, it blends coding and multimodal understanding in single workflows.

Multimodal Reasoning and Safety Standards

Beyond code, the model excels in visual-to-code generation and detailed captioning. It executes workflows requiring both visual and audio understanding.

For instance, it extracted product photos from video footage to create marketplace listings. Finally, Meta ensured safety through extensive evaluations under its Advanced AI Scaling Framework.

The model operates within safe margins for cybersecurity and biological risks. It also demonstrates improved resistance to jailbreaks and reduced hallucination rates.
